Soft Reset Methods

Tools Needed:

  • Vizio TV remote control
  • Power outlet access
  • Stable internet connection (for smart features)
  • Paperclip (for hard reset if needed)

Step-by-Step Soft Reset

  1. Using Remote Control: Press and hold the INPUT and VOLUME DOWN buttons simultaneously for 10-15 seconds.
  2. Menu Reset: Navigate to Menu > System > Reset & Admin > Soft Power Cycle.
  3. Wait for Restart: The TV will turn off and back on automatically. Do not unplug during this process.
  4. Check Functionality: Verify that the reset resolved your issues by testing basic functions.
  5. Network Reconnection: If using smart features, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network if necessary.
  6. Picture Settings: Check if picture settings need to be readjusted after reset.

Warning: Soft reset will not erase your settings or installed applications. It only restarts the TV's operating system.
