SmartCast Remote Control

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Fresh AA batteries (2)
  • VIZIO Smart TV
  • Clear line of sight to TV

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert 2 AA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  2. Power On TV: Ensure your VIZIO Smart TV is plugged in and powered on.
  3. Pair Remote: Point the remote at the TV and press any button. The remote should automatically pair with most VIZIO Smart TVs.
  4. Manual Pairing: If automatic pairing fails, press and hold the INPUT and VOLUME DOWN buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  5. Test Functions: Test basic functions like power, volume, and channel controls to ensure proper operation.
  6. SmartCast Setup: For SmartCast features, ensure your TV is connected to Wi-Fi and follow on-screen setup instructions.
  7. Voice Control Setup: For voice-enabled remotes, download the VIZIO SmartCast app and complete voice setup through the app.
Warning: Use only recommended battery types. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
