Step-by-Step Soft Reset
- Power Cycle Method: Unplug TV from power outlet, wait 60 seconds, then plug back in and turn on.
- Menu Soft Reset: Press Menu button > System > Reset & Admin > Soft Power Cycle
- Remote Control Reset: Hold Power button for 10 seconds until TV turns off, wait 30 seconds, then turn back on
- Button Combination: While TV is on, press and hold Input and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds
- SmartCast App Reset: Open Vizio SmartCast app > Settings > System > Reset TV Settings

Factory Reset Procedures
- Menu Factory Reset: Menu > Admin & Reset > Reset TV to Factory Settings > Enter parental code (default: 0000)
- Physical Button Method: Turn off TV, hold Volume Down and Input buttons, then press Power while holding buttons
- No-Picture Reset: If screen is black, unplug TV, hold Power button for 30 seconds, plug back in

Model Specific Reset
SmartCast TV Models
For Vizio SmartCast TVs: Press Menu button > System > Reset & Admin > Reset TV to Factory Defaults. Enter parental control code when prompted.
Older VIA/VIA Plus Models
For VIA and VIA Plus models: Go to System > Reset TV Settings > Full Factory Reset. This will remove all apps and custom settings.
P-Series Quantum
Quantum series: Use Input + Volume Down + Power button combination. Hold for 15 seconds until reset menu appears on screen.
M-Series Quantum
M-Series models: Menu > System > Reset TV > Full Factory Reset. Alternative: Unplug for 2 minutes, then plug back in while holding Power.
D-Series Models
D-Series budget models: Physical reset button located near HDMI ports. Use paperclip to press for 10 seconds until LED blinks.
E-Series Models
E-Series: Menu > System > Reset & Admin > Clear Memory. This performs factory reset without deleting SmartCast account.
